The Only Steak Kebab Recipe You Need This Summer

I hope you are ready for another great recipe to have in your back pocket. When the weather is nice and the grill is calling my name, these steak kebabs are one of the first things I think of. They are incredibly flavorful, juicy, and perfect for any summer cookout.

This is all about the marinade, which uses a ton of fresh herbs and lemon to make the steak unbelievably tender and delicious. It is simple to put together, but the results are amazing.

Ingredients

Amount For the Marinade
Handful Fresh Oregano
Handful Fresh Dill
Handful Fresh Rosemary
2-3 Lemons (Juice of)
2 tbsp Fresh Garlic (minced)
2 tbsp Olive Oil
1 tbsp Stone Ground Mustard
1 tbsp Black Pepper
1 tbsp Onion Powder
1 tbsp Garlic Powder
1 tbsp Salt
Amount For the Kebabs
3 to 4 Ribeye Steaks (about 1.5 lbs total)

Instructions

  1. Create the Marinade: Start by preparing your fresh herbs. The fresher, the better for this recipe. Chop them up finely, or blend them, whatever is easiest for you. In a bowl, combine the herbs, minced garlic, the juice from two or three lemons, olive oil, and a few good bloops of stone ground mustard.

  2. Add the Spices: Add the black pepper, onion powder, salt, and garlic powder to the bowl. Stir everything together until you have a gorgeous, fragrant marinade.

  3. Prep the Steak: Take your ribeye steaks and cut them into nice, chunky cubes, about one and a half to two inches thick.

  4. Marinate the Meat: Get yourself a large Ziploc bag and put all the steak cubes inside. Pour that beautiful marinade all over the steak. Seal the bag, getting most of the air out, and massage that meat real good. You want to make sure every single piece is completely coated.

  5. Let It Rest: Put the bag in the fridge for at least one to two hours. Honestly, the longer you can let it marinate, the better the flavor will be.

  6. Grill Time: When you are ready to cook, get your grill piping hot. Skewer the steak cubes, leaving a little space between each piece. You want to hear that steak sizzle the second you put it on the grates.

  7. Cook and Rotate: Make sure you are rotating the kebabs every few minutes to get a nice char on all sides. Depending on how hot your grill is and how you like your steak, this should take about 8 to 12 minutes total.

  8. Rest and Serve: Once they are done, take them off the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. This is the secret to keeping them juicy.

The Perfect Summer Meal

And that is all it takes. The steak comes out so tender and flavorful, I am telling you, this recipe is a guaranteed winner. It is a simple way to make something that feels special.
